Course fee: Rs 30,000/-
Course duration: 3 months Internship in optometry
Educational Eligibility : Diploma, bachelor passed.
Duration of the course : 12 months.
Number of seats available : 20 Seats.
Criteria of admission : Entrance Test & Personal Interview (VIVA).

(1.) ENTRANCE TEST FEE FOR OPTOMETRY FELLOWSHIP WILL BE RS. 100 AND IT WILL BE PAID ON RAJ EYE HOSPITAL RECEPTION COUNTER ON 18 th AUG 2021 FROM 8.00 AM TO 3.30 PM TO GET THE ADMIT CARD. EXAM WILL BE STARTED AT 3.30 PM.

Subject & Questions Criteria for Written Exam

An optometrist who has studied, must know these basic level very simple questions. It will be easy to score more than 90% by most of them.

Admission fee: Rs.60,000/Year or for 12 months.

  • If the candidate deposits full payment at the time of admission, will get discount of Rs 10,000/- in total fee
  • In Part payment, Minimum 1st payment Rs.30000/- at the time of admission, and remaining fee as Rs 6000/- per month till the completion of total due (in 6 months maximum)
  • In entrance test if Candidates obtain more than 80%, will become eligible for discount/ Rebate of Rs 10000

Expectations and scope of training

The Institute's major aims are to :
  • Students coming for the internship are expected to be serious and focused about learning, and should be willing to work hard. A strict course curriculum will be followed, and punctuality, thoroughness, conscientiousness and a professional approach will be expected. Candidate will come out as a good optometrist who can take care and perform ARK,NCT,LM,FC, Vitals, history, refraction, examination, diagnostic and surgical support.
  • Who Can manage OPD & IPD, examination by slit lamp and applanation tonometer, 90 D, data entry, dry eye work up, counseling of cataract and lasik, optical dispensing basic level, medicine dispensing.

Fellowship in optometry

Eligibility:

Diploma or bachelor passed and completed 18 months internship with certificate or worked in eye hospital more than 36 months.
Duration of the course: 1 year
Criteria of admission test: Admission on the basis of written and oral exam.(A-17% anatomy, physiology, pharmaco, B- 20% for optics and refraction with retinoscope C--15% History, examination D- 15% on surgery counseling, medicine counseling and optical dispensing E- 18% on basic level knowledge of Hindi, English, Maths, computer entry, communication skill, extracurricular activities.)
Admission fee: Rs.60,000 for one year, Rs.30000 at the time of admission, Rs.6000 per month from next month till the completion of total due) on one time payment there will be discount of Rs.10,000 in entrance test if marks obtained are more than 80%,discount of Rs.10000 after 1 year, certificate of fellowship and experience will be awarded with grade A more than 80% grade B less than 80% on the basis of written and oral exam.(A-7% anatomy, physiology, pharmaco, B- 15% for optics and refraction C-15% History, examination by slit lamp and applanation tonometer & fundus camera plus 90D, D- 15% diagnostic procedures E-- 15% on counseling and optical dispensing F-15% on diagnosis and medicine .G- 18% on basic level knowledge of Hindi, English, Maths, computer entry, communication skill, extracurricular activities. If scored less than 50% in any one subject then supplementary exam will be taken, without duty and attendance.
Fellowship outcome: good in behavior with patient ,staff and caring (compassion) good understanding of optics and refraction, counseling, optical dispensing, diagnostic, patient examination, should be able to run an eye clinic in government PHC or vision centre .

Graduation and post graduation in optometry

Through Himalyan university,

B.SC.Optometry3 years course for those who have done diploma in optometry otherwise 4 years course. M.Sc. optometry 2 years course for those who have successfully completed B.Sc. optometry

after completing assistant optometrist or 4 years experience in any eye hospital
Duration: 2 years
Salary:Rs.13000 per month with epf & esi, and other common benefits in first year, Rs.14900 per month in 2nd year withwithf epf & esi, and other common benefits

Assistant manager

internship or fellowship passed candidates can apply. Rotatory posting in nabh, operations management, training of optoms and health workers, operation theatre management, camp and vision centre management
Salary: Rs.11000 per month epf epf & esi, and other common benefits
Duration: 11 months

Assistant admin

after completing assistant manager,
