It gives opportunity to manage uncommon and difficult cases in cataract, glaucoma and all other specialties 3 days posting in community eye care centres or charitable hospital, situated in the center of the gorakhpur city, 2 kilometer away from tertiary hospital and others less than 75 km - will provide opportunity of learning in community ophthalmology, free opd [ not even registration fee], free and subsidized surgeries although it is charitable, it is fully air conditioned and equipped with oct, hfa, optical biometer, b scan, a scan, AT, Zeiss operating microscope along with teaching binocular , phaco comfort and safety of free accommodation inside the hospital campus or nearby very well paid as stipend.

QUICK PHACO Training

Course fee: Rs 125,000/
Duration of course for QUICK PHACO: 3 working days with 1 week interval in each sitting.
for ophthalmologist practitioners who have busy schedule and have
(a) Some Basic knowledge of performing Phaco or done Phaco training at other institute
(b) Have done good no of sics
(c) Can do ccc comfortably
(d) Access to phaco machine
3 sittings (discussion+10 goats eye in wet lab+2 sics+10 phaco)
Additional phaco can be added with extra charge, maximum 4 in a day After ccc break or rent or any complication, case will be completed by course director and it will be counted as 1 phaco .
First day : orientation for hospital, ot, equipments, microscope and course director with ot staff Points to be careful in sics, 2 sics to assess the strength and weaknesses in handling of microscope / surgical instruments/ section/ ccc/ hydro/ chamber maintenance throughout the procedure/nucleus delivery/ cortical cleaning/ iol insertion/ closure/finally care for the patient & tissue will be noted After 2 sics and discussion about phaco settings with safety measures, 10 phaco on goats eye in wet lab. It will be great opportunity to decrease inhibition and solve some problems faced by candidate in past Observe phaco by your course director, 2 phaco on human eye, you will be given sculpting and then chopped nucleus to remove fragments, with automated IA. Back home to practice section making, ccc, sculpting [ don’t break the nucleus], then sics & automated IA,
2nd sitting in 2nd week Discussion about home work, 4 cases of phaco, Back home to practice phaco and note your difficulties
3rd sitting in 2nd week Discussion about home work, 4 cases of phaco, Back home to practice phaco and note your difficulties, communicate with e mail / phone.
Follow up : you are welcome to call from your operation room anytime preferably 9 am to 12pm in case of any query,
