Cataract Services

Cataract is the main cause of avoidable blindness in the developing countries of the world including India.

Patients regain normal sight with the help of cataract surgery, which has undergone many advances. A generally safe procedure where the cloudy lens is removed and, in most cases, replaced with an artificial lens. Typically performed on an outpatient basis means that you need not day back in the hospital and recovery is quickly allowing you to return to normal life at the earliest.

Should you be considering cataract surgery, keep these questions in mind:

  • Do you have problems reading or watching television? Does it appear blurry?
  • Can you see clearly to safely do your job, walk and to drive?
  • Can you differentiate between the levels of the road or stairs?
  • Are vision problems affecting your level of independence?
  • Flashy bright lights make it more difficult to see?

We provide two types of services under Clinical Services:

  • Small Incision Cataract Surgery(SICS)
  • Phaco-emulsification cataract surgery (PECS)
